It scratches my complexity itch. Also my beautiful anime boys itch.
Like seriously you need to get deep into the weeds for it to make sense, and it's both transcendent & amazingly stupid
But if you want a story about two boys who love each other helping each other deal with mental illness and breaking an ancient cycle of violence, it's worth your time. Just be ready to skip the terribly written Disney sections when they get to be too much.

The #KingdomHearts playthrough has moved on to Birth By Sleep. I swear these games only have one set of protagonists.
Also, someone thought it was a good idea to jam a Fortune Street clone in as a leveling-up minigame.
But it is nice that the game that's a prequel gets classic Disneys like Snow White and CInderella.

This is, apparently, a Japan-only mobile game that fans believed wasn't required to understand the series until people started seeing references to it in KH3 trailers. Definitely the most wtf this series has gotten.

The 358/2 Days cutscenes are amazing. The most adorably naive evil henchmen discussing philosophy over ice cream bars. I love it.
The gameplay, though...we've gone back to Agrabah and Halloweentown a fourth time each.
One of the core themes of #KingdomHearts appears to be “thinking about the people you miss makes missing them less painful.”
For me, at least, it’s the opposite. That’s why I’m watching this 358/2 Days let’s play instead of being any kind of sociable. (@Canageek@cybre.space)
