Of all the Dali’s works this is the one that resonates most with me. All those empty drawers where you unsuccessfully try to find yourself, all this devastation - and you can’t quite tell what comes first, the fall or the emptiness

Fallen Angel by Salvador Dali. It’s a xylography depicting a beaten angel with sad grey wings and numerous drawers in their chest and body. The drawers are open and empty, and the angels’s head is tilted down and the hands are around the drawers as if they are helplessly searching in all those drawers for something that is not there, and you ask yourself if it was lost due to the fall or has never been there to begin with
