A beautiful thing lay before them, a golden glory of the days of old – when men were not but a minor power, and dwarves and elves roamed freely across the land. This was Moria, this was the Kingdom of Durin’s folk. #fanartfriday #fanfiction
Gönnt euch diesen #FanArtFriday einen schlechten Wortwitz und einen #DimmuBurger.
I haven't sketched a face in a while and thought a smiling Michael Sheen should do the trick. Behold: Fell the Marvelous! #MichaelSheen #GoodOmens #aziraphale #neil_gaiman #sketch #sketchbook #fanart #fanartfriday
Final entry for #FanArtFriday:
These stunning #LockedTomb artworks are by fan artist Jace D. ( @ nil_elk on Twitter) and I can't get them out of my head. They generously allowed me to repost on here and you can (and should) buy some of their prints as a Christmas present for your fellow #Griddlehark stans over here: https://www.inprnt.com/gallery/nil.e/

I'm not an artist myself and I don't have any say in this, but if you use #FanArtFriday to boost your favorites, please let's stick to some rules:
- Before repostig artworks please check on the artist's homepage and social media if they have a specific policy against reposts. Some do and we need to respect that.
- If an artist asks you to delete, don't argue.
- Always include the artist's name and link to their homepage/ko-fi/contact.
- Don't share posts that don't name the artist.

I've bookmarked fan art on Twitter way after I stopped using my account. This was one of my favorite recent pieces: Three Seagrass from Arkady Martine's Teixcalaan Books. It captures something essential about the character that I hadn't really seen before and made me love the books even more.
It's by @hanasoh who I just found out is on Mastodon. You can check out their art here and they may even have commissions available: https://hanasoh.carrd.co/
I first encountered fan art when I was a teenager frantically downloading every piece of Tolkien art I could find. I still enjoy some of those artworks today, especially those by Tim Kirk, who somehow captures the goofyness of the story often ignored by other artists. I later learned he won five Hugo Awards for best fan artist. #FanArtFriday
It's #FanArtFriday. I sometimes fear for all the amazing artworks that may be lost if Twitter goes down. Many artists won't switch to Mastodon because they don't wanna build a new community from scratch. If you have a favorite artist on here, make sure to boost their work whenever you can.
Is there any fan art you're working on? I'd love to see it.
