One analyst's report that the Christmas movies from Hallmark, 3/4 made in #Canada, will suffer greatly from #DonaldJTrump's newly declared Tariff War on cheap and cheerful #USMovies, makes me think.

It's essentially a Trumpist War on Christmas— Hallmark's version of Christmas, at any rate.

If Hallmark is not going to be able to afford making roughly 1/2 of its (clearly low budget) #ChristmasMovies, where will Christmas24 in the U.K. import its new movies from now?

It's almost Christmas Movie Season!!!!

My top whatever. In the order my brain surfaced them
1. Elf
2. Die Hard
3. Gremlins
4. A Christmas Story
5. Office Christmas Party
6. Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special

Can't wait to start my seasonal re-watch!

Now watching The Bishop’s Wife (recorded from TCM). One of my favorite . It’s charming, funny, poignant.

And every bit of casting is so dead on. There’s a story that originally Cary Grant was supposed to be the bishop and David Niven the angel. I just can’t imagine it’d be better that way, it’s so good as is.

One of the things I love most about it is the message about appreciating the right things in life. I needed this message right now.

Share your favourite Christmas film with me? I’m trying to watch one a day and am worried about running out.

Today was Home Alone. We’ve already watched: Falling for Christmas, Klaus, and Elf.

On the list: Bad Moms Christmas, Love Actually, Die Hard, Die Hard, The Holiday, Carol, Scrooged, Princess Switch.

Overall "The March Sisters at Christmas" had some serious problems, but the acting felt really authentic and charming. It had some really nice moments, and I'm a bit of a sucker for revisiting Little Women, even if it is all twisted around.

Here’s the thing about mediocre Christmas movies—even when they’re being mediocre, like March Sisters at Christmas right now, it’s still four women passing the Bechdel test, while all the men can only seem to talk about being in love with them.

It helps balance the rest of life.
