it was a major part of the competing promises to voters in the last BC election but I haven't heard a peep about it since. and now they can blame Trump tariff chaos for any promises that were dropped.
but honestly it's ridiculous that I need to rent a private car to drive simply to Chilliwack or Squamish, unless I am willing to time it carefully with whatever limited bus routes exist.

UP 9782 is a Wabtec C44ACM. Reportedly it was originally built in 1994 as CNW 8678 a GE C44-9W and subsequently rebuilt.

@urixturing @pluralistic @notjustbikes but those “#hackers” were contracted by the #railway service provider, who owned the #trains, to alter the trains' #programming. They did not hack the trains, in the legal meaning of the word, 'cause they HAD PERMISSION OF THE OWNERS!

Based on "The seats on the left side of the aisle, opposite the doors, are closest to the windows and therefore offer the best view. In general, these seats have odd numbers", I'm guessing seat 21 is a winner.

I got to ride the DC metro for the first time this weekend. It was my daughter's first time riding any subway as well. I love the uplighting and the high, curved ceilings.
