I failed to put a man in the summit on today's run. The last kilometre was blocked by horses, cows and sheep. Might have been able to pass alone but with a mutt and that we had to return the same way, wouldn't have been wise. So here's a picture of Pic du Midi instead. It went from running in clag and only being able to see about 50m around you, to clear views of the stunning Pyrenees around us, that you just had to stop and take in.

Today's RAAAD was a blast of the 80's Curiousity killed the Cat and Prefab Sprouts.

After yesterday's OSM recon run with Paddy the Irish mutt which I forgot to report. I went out with both mutts at first there was chaos, dogs and leads in one big mess. Then they clocked that we are out running not sniffing and playing, and off we went.

I had forgotten a few things yesterday so I need to remember to log into OpenStreetMap and add them.

Yesterday's RAAAD was the Ukrainan folktronica band Go_a they were on Euro Music a few years ago. I do like the mix of traditional musical instruments and modern electronics.

Today's Run an Album a Day was Buena Vista Social Club and their self titled album, can you remember how it was playing everywhere around the millennium.

Running two mutts equal double distance, right?

Two runs on the same hill and you become a local. I had a mountain biker asking me for directions. It would be a while before I know this labyrinth of wonderful trails like a local. But at least l knew the way to the top, might be the long way around but it would get you to the top.

As unbelievable Schubert Dip is, it's unbelievable that many thinks that Unbelievable is the only good song from EMF brilliant album. Great RAAAD album to run to and a trip down early 90s alternatively rock years.

Set out into the misty, damp, clacky Basque country side. First 2-3km was a farm/forest track, which then turned into a forest trail into the deep forest, that slowly went up and got steeper and steeper as the next 2-3km went on.

Then it turned around and went UP, glutes screamed as we reached the peak, where between the clouds we could see other peaks across the valley. Then a long the ridge to two more peaks, before we went down, at time fairly slippery, back to the farm/forest track, into the mist again and back to HQ, just over 12 brilliant kilometers.

Arrived back just as it started to rain heavily, not that I could be any more wet.

RAAAD was a double today with first a band I was sure only was a one hit wonder, so their album was totally new to me and definitely needs a re-listen - Anarchy by Chumbawamba.

And then the ever so fantastic original sound track of the movie that is also fantastic - Conan The Barbarian.

So after masterfully avoiding the glorious Spanish mud yesterday, today I didn't. This snap is from just before it got worse. At least I didn't drop and there was long wet grass to run through to "wash" our legs afterwards.

I only thought of you @Wen after I had washed down the mutt ;)

Today's RAAAD was the brilliant Danish band Gasolin there was some bad singing and a lot of air guitar ;)

I've totally forgotten how many bangers the Danish band Gnags have made.

Put on a Best of album and set out to Den dejligste morgen (most beautiful morning) with it very much was. Then sang along to the protest song Vilde Kaniner (wild rabbits). Then it went a bit 'Pete Tong' with the absolute tunes of Går med hunden gennem byen (Walking the dog through the town) and Slingrer Ned Ad Vestergade (Strolling down Vestergade), because I blew up when - Når jeg bliver gammel (When I get old), the irony, started and I had 500m to go on the 5k. Paddy the Irish mutt my pulled me over the line, he likes running fast when there's no sticks to be played with.

Looked at my watch and it said numbers I couldn't understand, when looking through the sweat in my eyes. Walked the 1.5km back to HQ, had nothing left to do a gentle jog even when Burhøns came on.

The stats on Strava and it said I had shaved 2m28sec off my PB! So I'm in the "under 30" club now with a 27m32sec 5k, just how!?!?

I will end with this line from the song Denmark - Lige meget hvem du er. Lige meget hvor du er. Så velkommen her. (No matter who you are. No matter where you are. So welcome here)

Here the song Vilde Kaniner - youtu.be/-fk8fXTiAAo

Only ~6 of the planned 9km were done today. First we explored waterfalls, which was flowing fast after two days of heavy rain. We tried to see another but the access was blocked by goats, Great Pyrenees (guard dog), other loose dogs and horses, so we bailed.

Today's double RAAAD didn't happen because of tech issues, mainly because of a Layer 8 issue. I had forgotten to charge the ear buds, doh.

Managed to listen to most of Naxatras self titled album, Naxatras. Very progressive rock and Doors like. Need another listen since it was the first time, oh and thanks whomever recommended it to me.

I did get to squeeze out a few tracks of Shakira's Dónde Están los Ladrones? Always a joy to listen to her music, even if my Spanish can't follow.

So another run booked with these two albums ;)

This part of Spain got some beautiful, fun and interesting trails. But they are brutally sole destroying as this is the second one I saw on the trails. Again a double run with the mutts along with a double RAAAD. First The Dead South - Illusion and Doubts, where the banjo does keep you on your fast toes. The Cake - Fashion Nugget which I went the Distance with ;)

Double run with the mutts, first 3.5 km with Miss MoneyPenny the Podenco, who were like a bored teenager much more interested in her mobile phone, e.g. sniffing for something to hunt. Than being amazed that these stones are nearly 27.000 dogs years old. The sun came out and gave the second half with Paddy the Irish mutt, a stunning view over the bay to the to Vigo. So it wasn't to bad that our run turned out to be nearly 2km longer than planned.

RAAAD was Lhasa de Sela's album La Llorona, again an album that probally best stat down and enjoyed, than playing when your legs and lungs are screaming why did you go up this hill TWICE you numpty !! But I got to reminisce about the brilliant summer working on a campsite in France where this album was the sound track, to long hot days.

This comming RAAAD we, if you wanna join, are going to listen too:

M: Light in Babylon - Life Sometimes doesn't Give you Space. I think you, @coreysnipes, will love this, do listen to their other albums, they are all on BandCamp.

T: AnnenMayKantereit - Alles Nix Konkretes. Henning May voice is one to behold and I love the song Barfuß am Klavier, especially the video version.

W: Lhasa de Sela - La Llorona. This was the sound track to my summer of 2003.

T: The Dead South - Illusion and Doubts. Just because it's time for relisten

F: Naxatras - Naxatras. Someone years ago told me to listen to this, been on the "got to listen to list" way too long, so new to me.

S: Shakira - Dónde Están los Ladrones? Lass recommend it for me, though we have listened to Shakira a few times before.

S: Cake - Fashion Nugget. Since I missed out on this last week.

What a glorious day out with the Lass, the mutts and Gloria Estefan. Oh and wild horses too, Paddy was thinking about herding them and wasn't too fuzzed. So we walked carefully past them at distance. They looked very much like Welsh ponies said the Lass.

Sadly I couldn't find on streaming Gloria Estefan's Let It Loose so it became came one of her many Best of albums (she's been busy). Impossible to not to sing and dance along too, with tracks like Dr Beat, Conga, Rhythm is going to get you, Get on your feet etc Lass said I looked like a lion because I can't dance, which is true, but Gloria helped me up the hills and jumping over a small water crossing ;)

Afternoon run after the rain, through a gum tree forest, brilliant trails, just the right amount of everything - scramble, flat, up/down, zig and zag, jumps and ducks when the branches were low. Great fun. First 2km with Paddy the Irish mutt and then a quick pit stop to swap tires erm mutt to the Miss MoneyPenny version. Though halfway through I figured that this is a motor cross trail, lucky we were alone in the forest today.

The run was perfectly timed, so I could listen to the all the track on the absolutely brilliant self titled album by The Turbans. I just love this kind of mix of cultures and style of northern African and middle eastern music.

Lass asked me if my legs weren't tired after 3 days of running in dunes before I set out to run on a beach this morning. Lo and behold half way on today's run every bit of my legs started to moan ;)

At least nobody heard me singing along to Appetite for Destruction. Shocking that I still remember the lyrics to this album by Guns'n'Roses after nearly 20 years since I last played it ;)

Missed out on a run yesterday so made it up with a double album run today. Started off with the joyful Stakka Bo - Supermarket, lyrics are still apt today as it was back in '93. This helped me through the forest and the sandy tracks to the beach. Where Rage Against the Machine as always kicked butt, serious air drums and screaming along to Killing in the name, Bombtrack and Bullet in the Head etc was only heard by the wind and the waves as I did nearly 3.5km all alone on the beach.

Now that's a funny looking cow. Anywhooo, I ran through some gum trees, which reminded me of backpacking around Australia where I overheard two Swedish lads, saying that Metallica was playing that night. Managed to get a spare ticket and find my way to the concert, quite easy mind - just follow long hair and dark T-shirt with the band name printed on (there's a survival navigation trick for you for free) So today's run was sponsored by the Black Album and a sprinkling of Pearl Jam's Ten.
