Hubby watching #TheElectricState. I'm in other room. All I can say is it's AWFUL so far!

One time I went into the Man Cave to see a part of it, male & female were fighting a robot in a cave & running like hell for the exit as the mountain & caves explode behind them. Both male & female were covered in dirt. Cut to next scene, female's makeup is perfect, hair is perfect. No dust/dirt. C'MON!!!

Also, way to copy from Indiana Jones! Everything but the water and the crocs! 🤬 @philsplace

Yeah, I didn't Toot / Post an updated life report this morning.
I wanted to get to work just after 06:00 in my #FoodBank office, and was running tight on time.
Worked just over 4 hours then came on home.

My next time of work shall be tonight probably around midnight, after the nightly data-sync has finished.
I shall be running my monthly snapshot reports, with a deadline of 06:00, but shall not be working that long!

I am on #PTO for the next 2 days, as I have a procedure on Wednesday afternoon, that I need to prep for. You know exactly what I mean! *grin*
So no eating of solid food after midnight tonight.
After that procedure Arianna will be taking me to my choice of establishment to EAT!!!

When I arrived home today I started sorting and washing laundry, made a late brunch, and poured myself a stout.
Yesterday I started watching the movie "The Electric State" on Netflix, and finishing it now.
Is it just me or does Chris Pratt basically play the same character in every movie?

Washing machine has chimed to say it is finished, and I need to change over into the dryer and start washing another load.
After the movie is finished I shall probably have a good long #NAP!!!

Hmmmmm. To watch #TheElectricState or not. On the one hand the trailer for the film makes it look like the most god awful mind numbing shite ever made. On the other the book is a brilliant collection of artwork telling the hearwrenching atory of a sister's love for her brother in a deserted post apocalyptic wasteland.

The Electric State is an ok movie. It starts a bit rough. And some of the script remains a bit rough throughout. But it's not bad. Acting is great all around. W/ some surprises in the robot voices. Some awkward product placement.

The overal experience is enjoyable. Not as strong as it could be, but still fun if your down for it. An interesting world & story of robots, sentience, drones, and what humans do with that.

Mamma mia che recensioni negative per #TheElectricState. Magari non avrà il tocco magico di un #film come #Bumblebee (sarà che lì c'era Spielberg dietro le quinte?) ma è assolutamente godibile. E quando i protagonisti salgono sul bus al suono di I fought the law dei Clash anche qualcosa in più. I 320 milioni di dollari non li abbiamo spesi noi, non c'è motivo di arrabbiarsi! Quest'ultima proposizione vale anche in altri ambiti #scifi

So sad to see The Amazing Dead Milkmen showcased in this shitty movie.

True story: When I couldn't find a shirt like this, I bought a white t-shirt and a fabric marker and I fucking made one.

Newer, sadder, true story: I've tried to watch this terrible movie twice, and haven't made it past the intro scenes. It's so incredibly bad. I only know about the t-shirt because of the honest trailer.

Der neu erschienene Film #TheElectricState auf #netflix ist ein nettes Jugendabenteuer ab 13 Jahren mit wunderschönen Roboterfiguren - mehr aber nicht. Von der Stimmung des illustrierten, gleichnamigen Buches von Simon Stalenhag aus dem Jahr 2018 vermag es kaum etwas zu vermitteln.

I'm trying to get through #TheElectricState but I'm dozing off all the time. How did they manage to make such an expensive VFX-heavy production so boooooring! I don't care about the Stranger Things girl. Who's that boy whose mind seems to have been transferred into a robot? I don't feel anything about any character. And I can't keep watching this just to marvel at the perfect integration of CG robots into the shots.
