EPISODE #53: GO EFF YOURSELF

Happy End of March! There's an explanation in the episode as to why I was gone last month, but just know that it was family-related business that kept me away. This episode is dropping a day early due to (probably) being rather busy tomorrow. Enjoy! You're sure to have some laughs with this one.

Teresa (@aperfectsong) and I decided to do a spirit box session one afternoon and things went awry.

I did this week's blog shout-out for @crcollins' stories! Spread the love! @strangeseawolf's book is featured on the blog as well. 🖤

Polyester AND Harlequin? We are good to you.
Also . . . I realised, too late, that some people may not appreciate some of the joking around I do at the start of the episode. But it's a choice between laughing at the horrors or crying in a pit of despair. So I chose the former.

#ScribesAndMakers 3.13 — Shameless Self-Promotion Day. Let's boost away.

Oh, boy. I'm a writer, and I also have a (real) paranormal podcast, if you're interested. I write many things, from fanfiction to my own original stories. I've published my work in many magazines and zines over the years as well.

My scribbles and stories can be found here: archiveofourown.org/users/agoo

As for my podcast, it's linked on my profile, although it can be found on almost every single listening platform available. It's called #PandasDen by Panda Iwasczyszyn. (I just want to state that I didn't start off on Sp*tify. They purchased the platform that I first began my show on. There was no choice in it for me. My friends know my opinions.)

My main link (just the main profile) can be found here: creators.spotify.com/pod/show/

He is doing a lot better mentally, but that maybe out of spite. The day after he finished producing "Toss Back Tuesday: Jim Carrey Under 100 Minutes", the podcast scheduling plans were all screwed up. "The Super Mario Bros. Movie" was the big Blu-Ray release for June 6, 2023. Its theatrical run was released the week prior to the April movie CatBus wanted to see the most, Nicolas Cage starring as Dracula in "Renfield", so the resources our host used to find out that the physical release date of the Nicholas Hoult film was going to be a week after the billion-dollar cartoon seemed correct. You can only imagine his dismay when he started ringing out customers who brough up the vampire disc along side the plumber flick. Russ did get around to seeing the movie when it was still in theaters. This would have been in its third week of release. As noted in "Nicolas Cage & The Unbearable Weight of Massive Filmography", our host ended up dealing with unexpected cancellations of this feature during its second weekend. He decided to sit on the review he recorded from the parking lot. Being the only other person in the cinema for the flick, expecting the physical release to be just a couple of weeks away seemed like a fair assumption. Sadly, Comcast/Universal seemed to do nothing but fumble in their efforts to make this feature profitable. Fortunately, "NinetyForChill: The #Podcast" is going to make an effort to further make this feature relevant.

Then, if the story doesn't leave you unsettled, the music just might. Eldritch, from Tim Parker.
