I have a favorite rock formation on the beach I frequent. One part of it looks like a whale tail, and another part of it forms a little arch when winter currents wash enough sand out. This winter, the storms broke the top of the arch off. #newportoregon #oregoncoast

Candidates for a Darwin award climbed out on the rocks yesterday. The tide was relatively low, so the rocks were accessible, but there were ~15 foot waves in a stormy sea, and a rising tide. A kid scrambled off the outermost of those rocks about 30 seconds before a wave washed over it. #newportoregon #oregoncoast
