#inkscape's test suite thinks a 12dpi PDF should have a few hundred pixels per inch. While my new CMYK PDF code thinks there should be 14 blocks in this 1.25 inch tall reference file.
Which is right? 
The DPI setting for PDF export must have been broken for a long time if the test suite has been wrong since 2020-10-28 (I know because it's in the reference PDF file when it was created)

Inkscape 1.4.1 builds on the giant set of features last year’s release of Inkscape 1.4 brought with it with a number of worthwhile enhancements and bug fixes, plus two new features. I've set up my new #inkscape website AI bot trap. It works by giving everyone a chance to not fall into it.
An anchor link that says "I am a bot" and links to /P3W-451/{datetime}/ it's got a fixed position at top -100px so should never be seen
The robots.txt says "Disallow: /P3W-451/" so if you were reading the robots, you'd know.
Then #nginx logs the requests to a log of their ip-addresses and browser strings and sends them a 301 redirect to google.com

The "before" felt like too many fonts, not enough organization.
The "after" is after doing more research —including how to do do "pop out" portraits. (I did mine in #Krita.) I think it's SUUUUPER cute and--more importantly--better organized.

I forgot I actually enjoy making stuff in vectors as well. Somebody made me to and I liked it. First time since many many years. I tried #inkscape and after quick learning with Youtube I could do all I wanted.
I have been using #Inkscape for over 15 years, and I have told uncountable people to use it. But in recent years it somehow get worse with every new version

2 things:
1. why is #Inkscape loading ALL of the symbols installed? in linux this is quite a big package, so it takes some time to start. i would think that even if such option is selected in the tab when quitting the app, it should default to "document's only" symbols. because this affects the new (blank) documents as well 
2. why when i open a working document is it telling me that this or that font "is not available" and will be replaced with that one (exactly the same, obviously installed) and selecting the "faulty" text?
btw, while loading like this, it shows a very pixelated and enlarged image of the document. it also occurs briefly during normal loading if the files is big.
