The 2025 #Japan (Osaka) #Expo reminds me of the whole AI thing. A bunch of rich and powerful people decided this must be a thing, whether people want it or not, and they are willing to pour any amount of money, resort to any kind of coercian, to make it a thing. It's a scam perpetrated against taxpayers. I guarantee you that a majority of visitors who attend will not have paid for those tickets themselves. Organizers pressure corporations and other organizations to buy tickets, and those corporations and organizations, who can't force their employees/members to buy the tickets, are just handing them out. My daughter's (private) school is sending every pupil to the damned thing. (1/2)
