The really annoying thing about moving instances -- worse than losing the toots -- is that you bring your followers with you, but not your follows. Having painstakingly found and followed a bunch of Twitter mutuals, as well as some new people, I now have to do it all over again! 
I now know you can simply import your follows to your new account when you move, it's ok, you don't need to tell me
