I would add: look for energy efficient appliances—esp a refrige will cost you (and the environment!) a lot in energy costs and carbon and extra efficiency saves more than you know. Likewise, swap that gas dryer for electric, or the gas furnace for a heat pump—electricity is much more efficient than gas and as we green up the grid, your electrics will get greener over time! (Happy to answer Qs about electrifying everything :) )
