The Eye of Argon itself is an obvious ripoff of Robert E. Howard’s Conan the Barbarian stories from the 1930s. It has been lampooned for decades as being “the worst fiction ever written.” But there are two things that I think people are missing: First of all, a 16-year-old wrote it.
