Now that it’s warmer, I’ve been able to get to the dojo with my husband and watch the tai chi class.
The last time I went was two weeks ago and I could only sit and watch. Tonight I totally surprised myself and was able to do the full Yang style 40 form before sitting down!
I’ve been on the new meds for three weeks now. Definitely less fatigue and more energy
@jkirkendall congrats! Step by step.
@jkirkendall Oh that's lovely, congrats! :D
@jkirkendall Wow. This is great. Well done indeed. It’s nice when medicine works I lost my yoga mojo a few years ago (along with other losses) and have wondered about trying Tai Chi - would you recommend it?
@Janet_52square Absolutely! I've been a student on and off since grad school (whoa - 30 years ago now!) and was surprised to find out that tai chi is the #1 recommended exercise by The Lupus Foundation. My PT explained that the small muscles that move me from side are the ones that atrophy the most during extended bed rest. Tai chi uses those muscles in spades.
@jkirkendall ahh that's wonderful!
