Ugly data and the transformation method giving it a makeover. Three layers: the bottom layer is an Excel spreadsheet for the World Development Report 2007-2008, and an example of one of the most awful "human-styled" ugly data; the second layer is the short, human-readable Whyqd (pronounced wikid) script which generates a schema transform; and the third (top) layer is the machine-readable, restructured data output.
