These are kaiser rolls, shaped in the traditional way from a long rope that is knotted and tucked into itself.

Size kaiser rolls on a baking silpat mat. They have been shaped from a long rope so the buns have several spokes of a spiral coming out from center and tucking back underneath. The traditional kaiser shape.

I think they turned out perfect. Although I'm allowing them to cool before I cut into one for a sammich.

A silpat tray with 6 kaiser rolls on them. They've been baked to a light golden brown and have the traditional spiral knot style. Half of them have been sprinkled with everything bagel seasoning.
