Well that’s a wrap! There’s still a couple weeks left of “Aurora” season up north, but I’ve skipped town in search of warmer temps and spring flowers. If we do end up getting a nice earth facing solar flare in the near future I’ll post up something info and let everyone know. But in the meantime hope you all enjoy the changing seasons!

I found out from Wikipedia that this distant object is called Sarah's Galaxy. I find this name more appropriate than the ordinary and vulgar one that people call it. Sarah's Galaxy refers to Sarah Williams, who wrote this poem that is all me now:

"Though my soul may set in darkness, it will rise in perfect light;
I have loved the stars too truly to be fearful of the night."

Seen edge-on, NGC 3628 is known to be a spiral galaxy. However, its profile is odd. Looks thick to me, and its extremes look thicker. I assume this oddness is due to its many interactions with its neighbors, which form the famous Leo's Triplet.
