Cuidado na estrada: mais de 200 mil #atropelamentos ameaçam 2000 espécies de animais

Base de dados revela que em #Portugal as espécies com mais registos de atropelamento são o javali, a coruja-das-torres e a raposa. Das espécies ameaçadas são exemplo o toirão, a marta e víboras.

A iniciativa Global Roadkill Data acaba de disponibilizar o maior banco de dados de mortalidade por atropelamento da fauna selvagem.

The rarely seen Red Dog is off the beaten track. Then-winemaker Mateus Nicolau de Almeida (son of Ramos Pinto’s ex-director) once created this garage wine, mostly 2010 Tinto Cão (or, in English, "Red Dog"; plus a dollop of Rabigato, a white grape).

Good mid-palate finesse, red fruits and roses, plus a bit of funk. The dog barks softly as the tannins are mostly resolved. Gentle, bright, silky and charming, it has held well. 14%, under $50.

@greenpeace the fact that #Portugal has become the first European country to legally ban deep-sea mining by 2050 affects its Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ), which covers more than 1.7 million km² (the third largest in the EU). The EEZ is crucial for Portugal's marine biodiversity and economic activities such as fishing. By banning deep-sea mining, Portugal is prioritising environmental protection over mineral extraction and setting a precedent for marine conservation in a vast maritime area.
