I can access my dad's cable channels through an app on my TV, but it says a lot about the current state of cable TV that mostly the only times I ever open the app are to watch racing or wrestling, the only channel in my recents not related to either is the Food Network cause I'm a sucker for Guy Fieri and Chopped from time to time

The #NASCAR In-Season Tournament this year was truly embarrassing, I thought it was a really dumb gimmick when it was announced but I didn't realize just how stupid it would actually be.

I wish we could just go one freaking year without another new stupid gimmick introduced. None of the other major racing series need to do this shit?

The love language between my dad and I catching up on all the auto racing happenings when I call him for an hour once a week. We usually spend over half that time just chatting about NASCAR, F1, Indycar, even IMSA and NHRA sometimes, whatever was on that weekend or is coming up the next.

I like Jacob Abel, I think he's a good kid despite being a nepobaby, but what I have learned from this #Indycar season is that he was probably destined to be like driving an LMP2 in #IMSA rather than racing at this level. Even when he got a good finish at Iowa he was still like 7 laps down, that's just how high the attrition was.

I'm a big poutine fan, but I got a kick out of how Hinch (a proud Canadian) and Buxton agreed to eat some poutine on screen in the booth during qualifying in celebration of being in Toronto but Townsend Bell just stood between them with a disgusted look on his face.

Camden Murphy out here making a very strong statement at Dover that Monster Truck drivers are genuine racetruck drivers in their own way. I watch Monster Jam from time to time and always have, so I've never doubted, but my man is running second right now in this #ARCA race and top 4 all race.

Watching the FIA F2 races from Silverstone and it's good racing in the junior series! But, I think there's improvement potential.

F2 don't have a time limit. As long as you bring the money, a team will take you on. Compare with F1 Academy, there's a limit of 2 years. You do your best, and that time you've shown what you've got.

Nobody is claiming people like Kush Maini or Victor Martins are bad drivers, but they will never light the night on fire. They just stay on.

A lady started complaining about NASCAR today while waiting for the pool to open, a family friend, and it didn't take long at all for her to reveal herself as an absolute racist cause the things she takes the most offense to are them racing in Mexico and Chicago and there's only one reason to think they are "the stupidest idea they ever had".

I just immediately tuned her out, stopped replying much, and went back to posting in my groupchat on my phone.
