Sometimes, you just have to laugh or you will cry with some health conditions.

I have significant short term memory issues and have Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI).

Last night after a full day of doctor visits, I did laundry in my apartment. I did the washing no problem. But then I put the clothes in the dryer when ready, put a dryer sheet in and closed the machine, turned the dial to the desired drying setting... and closed the laundry door.

I needed the clothes for this morning, but instead I found them all damp and waiting for the Start button to be pressed! I'm sure my new downstairs neighbor didn't appreciate the dryer being ran at 1am, but what can I say? 😀

When it comes to putting away your clean socks, do you...

Instead of putting my Hawaiian shirt in the dryer, or hanging it to dry, I just put it on my body still wet and then went for a bike ride! It dried out quickly while cooling me off, it was bone dry by the time I left the farmer's market.

Speaking of #laundry..

I'm kind of enjoying washing the laundry by hand in buckets. Saves me $10 and keeps me from having to go to the launderama. I actually bought a cheap toilet plunger for agitation and it works pretty well.

Can't really do like jeans and towels so that's a trip to the laundromat but for everything else it's really not that bad.

My Simpson washing machine is having issues filling with water. I bought it 30 years ago, after having negative experiences with a couple of electronic washing machines.

I chose that brand because my mother had had her first Simpson for 25 years, and was 10 years into her second one, with no issues.

I don't think non-electronic washing machines exist any more :( and I know Simpsons don't. #Laundry #WashingMachines

Laundry has already been sorted into 4 loads, and the first is in the washing machine.

First day of a 9 day long weekend.
PTO from work for a week.
It's also Kids Camp week at CenterPointe Christian Church: https://centerpointe-christian.churchcenter.com/registrations/events/2839585
Camp is totally free for all kids. Please sign them up.

Unsure what my plans for the day are going to be, but pretty sure they will include typing up a Bible chapter in a native North American language for MissionAssist. We are always looking for volunteers in this mission work.

I hope that you have a most excellent weekend!

@feorlen @ai6yr We have four collapsible clothes-drying racks in the house, and a rotary drying rack outside (which TBH I almost never use, too much pollen and dust in the air outside).

I recently (finally) replaced our dead 25yo washer-dryer stack with a 5.3 ft3 ventless heat-pump combo washer-dryer, which runs off a 120V circuit, and which I love so far (we got it delivered via Costco). But even though it dries clothes way more thoroughly than I expected (based on complaints about other heat pump dryers), and is much more energy efficient than the old 240V electric dryer, I still hang-dry almost all clothing -- everything except sheets, towels, and jeans -- because the fabric should last longer with less tumbling.
