Happy early birthday to me! I've wanted one of these magnetic yarn holder things for a while, my yarn bowl is lovely but it still bounces all over the place. This way I stay tangle free and I can just sit comfortably on my chair and knit. It holds the bigger cakes just fine.

There is apparently a blizzard going on today (why, WHY so much snow!) so today is going to be audiobook & knitting....

After socks, spring knitting!
One finished, the second one well underway. Made of cotton and bamboo, it's light and supple, just how I like it!
(I still have one pair of socks on the way, and one ordered to make! Phew! I'd miss it otherwise!)

Bored at work so minor update! I joined a mystery knit along blanket and I've been meaning to post about it but.... Meh.

Each month they send us 1-2 patterns to knit and at the end of the year we'll join them all together to get rather unique blankets.

Learning is a process.

These fingerless gloves were my first knitting project. I worked them flat and sewed the sides while leaving a gap for the thumb hold. They're not very fancy and they might not be perfect, but I still love to wear them when I'm playing games on my computer since my hands get cold really easily.
