Jim P.Endless Phantom update: One of them had a hard start today after a couple days rest, but no sign of ink evaporation. Converter is still nearly full. I suspect it's because it was laying angled nib up. Restarted after a little encouragement. The other one was in my desk pen rack and had zero issues writing immediately.I've used both off and on most days if only for quick notes or scribbles, but it had maybe been 3 days since I used this one this time.Still way better than J10.<a href="https://masto.ai/tags/FountainPens" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#FountainPens</a>

Jim P.There were some freebies with my last JetPens order including a couple packs of Beverly Marumi Sticky Notes. Thankfully, they were free. They look great and are FP-friendly, but they stick better to themselves than anything else. A nice 5.6mm lead holder which will be nice for both my woodworking and for the voluminous scrap paper sketches I make during a project and leave scattered around the house. 😂 Regular 0.7mm mech pencils are pretty useless for me as I break them continuously. I have a 3.2mm pencil/lead-holder which I really like, and now this 5.6mm which feels great. It is a Pelikan Twist Calligraphy, which is like a regular Pelikan Twist with an elongated body and a 1.5 mm stub nib. The ink is Pelikan 4001 Violet. Jim P.Finished cleaning the M1 and M2, soaking did the trick.Had to disassemble one of the converters because it somehow got water behind the plunger. Reapplied silicone grease on it after cleaning to hopefully stop that from happening again.Swapped the O-rings between the section and body for slightly thicker ones which may even further improve the sealing, but time will tell.<a href="https://masto.ai/tags/FountainPens" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#FountainPens</a>

Jim P.Learned an important lesson: Don't put Electric Blue Spider Lily in an EF Kakuno. Or any EF, I suppose. Maybe nothing smaller than a stub or flex nib. It's far too light and you don't get any of the shading. Tried a few different papers and this was the darkest.If the CON-70 was easier to empty I'd have dumped it back into the sample vial since the pen was freshly cleaned and dry. But I don't see the full size 65ml bottles anywhere. Yet, maybe?
