BeaDie Waldohreule, hier ein Ästling, bewohnt gerne Wälder in der Nähe von offenen Flächen. Die inneren Waldbereiche meidet sie eher, da sie dort in Konkurrenz zum stärkeren Waldkauz steht. Die Eulen bauen ihre Nester selten selber, sondern brüten in alten Krähen- oder Greifvogelnestern. Ihre Hauptnahrungsquelle sind Wühlmäuse und Mäuse, die sie bevorzugt in offenen Flächen jagt. Herrscht ein Mangel an Kleinnagern, jagt die Waldohreule aber auch kleinere Vögel. BeaDer Hirschkäfer ist mit 9cm der größte Käfer in Deutschland. Bei dem „Geweih“ der Männchen handelt es sich um etwa 3cm lange Oberkiefer. Mit diesen Oberkiefern nehmen sie allerdings keine Nahrung auf, sondern nutzen sie nur bei Rivalenkämpfen und zum Festhalten der Weibchen während der Paarung. Auf der bundesweiten Roten Liste wird der Hirschkäfer in der Kategorie 2 „stark gefährdet“ geführt. Als Gründe hierfür werden v.a. die Entnahme von Alt- und Totholz, der Einschlag von Altbäumen, die Anpflanzung standortfremder Arten und den ersatzlosen Verlust von Altbäumen genannt. BeaDer Ockergelbe Blattspanner wird auch Brennnesselspanner, Gelber Linienspanner, Wellenspanner oder Löwenzahnspanner genannt. Das zu den Nachtfaltern gehörende Tier ist auch tagsüber aktiv und ist in Deutschland hauptsächlich von Mai bis September zu beobachten. Er ist häufig auf Magerrasen, Feuchtwiesen, Waldsäumen, Wacholderheiden, auf Friedhöfen, in Parkanlagen und in naturnahen Gärten zu finden. BeaBei dem Grauschnäpper handelt es sich um einen Ansitzjäger, der auf einer exponierten Warte sitzt und auf vorbeifliegende Insekten wartet, um dann in aufwendigen Flugmanövern hinter diesen hinterher zu fliegen. Er ernährt sich hauptsächlich von fliegenden Insekten, ergänzt seinen Speiseplan im Sommer und Herbst aber auch gerne durch Beeren. Der Grauschnäpper steht auf der Vorwarnliste. Mit der Warnfärbung täuscht die Blutzikade Giftigkeit vor, scheidet bar Gefahr aber nur eine ungiftige, aber übelriechende, Flüssigkeit aus den Fußspitzen aus. 2009 war die Blutzikade das Insekt des Jahres. BeaDer Rotbauchige Laubschnellkäfer ist an Waldrändern und Gebüschen zwischen April und Juli zu finden. Das Weibchen legt ihre Eier am Boden ab. Die Larven der Käfer werden als Drahtwürmer bezeichnet und fressen unterirdisch an Pflanzenwurzeln. Die ausgewachsenen Käfer (Imago) ernähren sich von Blättern und Blüten. BeaDie Weibchen des Grünen Heupferds können (ohne Flügel) eine Körperlänge von bis zu 4 cm erreichen und sind größer als die Männchen. Die Larven schlüpfen frühestens nach zwei Jahren. BeaAurorafalter sind auf Wiesen oder Wegrändern, vor allem auf Kreuzblütlern (z.B. Wiesenschaumkraut), zu sehen. Die Männchen haben an den Vorderflügeln orangefarbene Stellen, wohingegen die Oberseite der Flügel der Weibchen rein weiß ist. Die Unterseite der Hinterflügel der männlichen und weiblichen Aurorafalter zeigen eine unregelmäßige Fleckenzeichnung auf weißlichem Grund. BeaAnders als der Name vermuten lässt, handelt es sich bei der Märzfliege nicht um eine Fliege. Sie gehört zu den 16 in Europa beheimateten Haarmückenarten und wird auch Märzhaarmücke oder Markusfliege genannt. Die Larven der Märzfliege spielen eine wichtige Rolle als Humusbildner, da sie sich von pflanzlichen Abfällen ernähren. Die ausgewachsenen Tiere ernähren sich von Pflanzensäften und Nektar und fungieren dabei als Blütenbestäuber. BeaDie Falsche Landkarten-Höckerschildkröte ist eine von drei invasiven Schildkrötenarten, die sich im Südwesten Deutschlands ausbreiten und sich vermehren. Bei den anderen beiden Arten handelt es sich um die Gewöhnliche Schmuckschildkröte und die Nordamerikanische Buchstaben-Schmuckschildkröte. BeaTaubenschwänzchen sind Wanderfalter. Sie kommen immer wieder aus dem Mittelmeerraum zu uns und überwintern auch immer häufiger hier. Der Falter ist im Schwirrflug unterwegs, wodurch er immer eine ausreichende Distanz zwischen sich selbst und der Blüte hat. Dadurch ist das Taubenschwänzchen gut vor getarnten Fressfeinden wie der Krabbenspinne getarnt. BeaDie Farbe der Gemeinen Feuerwanze wird häufig mit Gefahr in Verbindung gebracht, dabei ist die Wanze vollkommen unschädlich. Sie ernährt sich hauptsächlich von Pflanzensamen, die am Boden liegend ausgesaugt werden. Häufig wählen die Wanzen die Samen von Linden. BeaDie Rostgans kommt ursprünglich aus den Steppen und Halbwüsten Asiens und Nordafrikas. Inzwischen haben sie sich aber auch in Deutschland etabliert und es gibt hier ca. 160-200 Brutpaare. Die meisten sind dabei Nachkommen von ehemals in Gefangenschaft gehaltenen Tieren. Während der Brutzeit legen sie ein aggressives Verhalten an den Tag, was vermuten lässt, dass ihre Anwesenheit Auswirkungen auf heimische Brutvögel haben kann. BeaDie Hellhelbe Erdhummel ernährt sich ausschließlich von Nektar und Pollen, wobei sie alle Blüten nutzt, die sie finden kann. Somit gehört sie, zusammen mit der Dunklen Erdhummel, zu den wichtigsten Bestäuberinsekten. Sitzen die Pollenkörner fest in Kapseln, wie es bei Tomaten der Fall ist, können sich die Erdhummeln an der Blüte festbeißen und mit ihren Muskeln so stark vibrieren, dass sie die Pollen herausschütteln. Das wird dann auch Vibrationsbestäubung genannt.
