Got to check out a newly opened local #usedbookshop this morning with my wife. Super cute little place that is VERY well done! Clean, organised, well stocked and labeled. I also had luck in finding a couple great books for my shelf!

I got this book last year either at a flea market or a second hand shop. Isn't it beautiful? How does it not have wrinkles on the spine? It's from 1993! It smells of old book, the pages are yellowed with age and there are small tears and folds here and there on the cover and yet it looks unread. i started to read books in low german by Fritz Reuter and been an eager reader and explorer of the language ever since.
but strangely enough i never come around to read the one big name from my hometown.
I am a huge fan of Thriftbooks. It's a network used by libraries and thriftstores to sell their used books. This means it is a bit of a crap shoot on selection, but I usually find what I'm after for a decent price... like 1-5 of #Transmetropolitan. #UsedBooks #Comics #ChaoticQueer #GeekCrafts

Out of fashion or in demand ?
One of the dorky reasons I like buying used books. Sometimes they come from libraries, barely used, with the old slot for checkout cards. Sometimes they have bookmarks or a previous owner’s notes in them.
I intended to spend the day at home today, but I just couldn't shake off how groggy I felt even after breakfast and being awake for a few hours. So I decided to go get lunch outside and have a small adventure...where I promptly ended up at a quaint little secondhand bookstore.
Most of the items were in clear bins that were laid out on the ground in front of the shop so it was a bit hard for me with my crummy knees and currently crummy neck, but the owner was incredibly kind and I ended up finding a few books I wanted to buy. I always try to buy something when I go to an independently owned shop, so I'm really happy I managed to find some things. I only paid 650 yen too--brand new these books would have been closer to 3,000 yen these days!
Today we visited what has become my favorite used book shop - Robert's in Lincoln City, Oregon - and I love used book shops. This place is a quirky maze with a massive selection so it's always the first place I want to stop in when we visit. #books #usedbooks #RoadTrip
Nice walk down to old Eilitch’s for the Denver Public Library Friends used book sale. I got a top 50 grilled cheese cookbook and Nicole picked up a few things.
