Genuine question (#tech-ish?) :
Why would Google think I'm a cop?

I'm not super #hack or #networking savvy, but if someone like me was being monitored, is there anything that someone remotely monitoring would potentially do that would expose them to Google advert personalization in *my* feed?

Details:
- Pre-Installed Google News Feed on Android
- Given my background it wouldn't be surprising to have my shit actively monitored, but I'm not saying this is currently happening.
- I'm not having a paranoid freak out or anything, just genuinely curious.
- I have personalization shit turned off, but also, even if I didn't, I'm not a cop, lol
- The next advert concerned epoxy for stone countertops, which I don't have and can't afford, lol
- The next advert was for gender neutral clothes (despite being trans, this one doesn't make sense and I only get advertising for women's stuff normally and have only gotten women's advertising for like a decade before I came out)
- Next is for Amish Yard Gliding chairs (nope)
- Next is for a catalog for perennial flower bulbs, the only one of these that would even maybe be slightly targeted toward a person like me.

TL;DR: The Trump administration has dissolved a DOJ unit focused on prosecuting cryptocurrency fraud, signaling a shift away from regulatory enforcement on digital assets. This move has raised concerns about potential increases in fraud without legal oversight. theverge.com/policy/645399/tru #law #tech #legaltech ⚖️ 🤖 #autosum
