Anyone who thinks American manufacturing can quickly take over from Chinese manufacturing should watch this "sobering" documentary (produced by a Mr B H Obama) about what happens when a Chinese company takes over a plant in Ohio.

The Guardian says it was released (in 2019) at “a fraught moment in US politics” when ”The country is on the verge of a full-scale trade war”…

The more I think about it, the more sense it makes.

#obama should take point for #democrats .

There’s a lack of leadership in the opposition party because there is a rising schism. The old guard wants to hold on to what it knows, self-righteous and self-inclined, they don’t fight because they believe their virtue is self-evident. Israel is part of it.

The new guard hasn’t found its footing, and it’s being fought by the old guard, within the party.

It means #trump is uncontested.

He’s familiar. He speaks simply, directly, and earnestly (when he needs to). He has cover (he’s no longer a politician), so isn’t exposed politically.

Lastly, if Trump really does decide to run for a third term (provided there are manageable elections), Obama could run against him.
