Windows has become a horrible mess. aaron<p>Can’t get Windows 95 to run in <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/QEMU" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>QEMU</span></a> 9.2.3 on <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/macOS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>macOS</span></a>. It worked fine when I last tried it in 2023 or 2024, though.</p><p>I’m getting a “Windows protection error” on first boot during the installation. XenoPhage :verified:<p>Huzzah! Finally figured out why Firefox wouldn't connect to local addresses on my mac.. Thanks to whoever put the hint on the connection failed screen.. Had to give firefox permission to contact the local network!</p><p>I don't remember ever seeing a popup asking me initially, so not sure if that's on me or not. But damn.. I'm finally back to being able to use local addresses again. David Croyle<p>My Mac running WSJ-TX is annoying in that every time I reboot, there is a high chance (but not 100%) that the Serial Port has changed name, and so needs to be manually re-selected in the WSJTX prefs in order to work.
