Born and raised in London during the 70s, I was aware of the importance of public transport to the life of a major world class city. Thanks to visionary government, the antique London transport system became revitalized to meet the needs of the 21st century.</p><p>Not in San Francisco where funding cuts threaten our city’s health and future.</p><p>Please look to major metropolitan areas across the globe, take note of concepts like congestion charges, local income taxes, &amp; taxes on the ultra wealthy (of which we have plenty!) to ensure that this jewel of a city actually has a future through public transport.</p><p>I take Muni every day. I use the Metro and the bus system.
