The municipalities of #WaterlooRegion were putting in all kinds of bike infrastructure: Bridges! Separated lanes! But also more paint. The now-defeated law would have stifled further progress, and even forced its removal. Now the mayor of Waterloo (Dorothy McCabe) has said the city will continue on with its plans for more bike lanes and other infrastructure. Yay!

@ascentale
@uxmark @bikenite

Life has worked out that I'm alone most of the time, so I have no one to trade being watchman with. I've gone maybe 1km on a 25km commute and decided that it's too windy or rainy or cold, so I pull up to the next bus stop and bus-bike at least partway. I can't think of a win that I feel 100% about. It's usually infra that gets put in, but is still car-centric and an inaccessible choice.

We fought really hard to get accessible racks at UC Davis and they did put in some few "pilot project" installations in response, not consulting @ucaccessnow or crediting us for our work, of course. Anything much warmer than that, I try to avoid the heat and ride earlier or later in the day. (preferably earlier). My area has a lot of hills, and I find that trying to ride up a hill on hot tarmac in temperatures above 80F and I can tell physically is pushing my limits... so I avoid doing so.
