I'm finally getting into the habit of carrying a water-bottle with me all the time again. All it took was me finding a replacement cap for my good old #djangoconeurope2015 bottle 😍
ZipSlip: #security marketing strikes again. Can we please go back to numbers? https://boingboing.net/2018/06/06/zip-slip.html#more-603566
Currently blocked by Bruce Schneier's “Secrets and Lies” from #reading anything else. At least I'm way past the half-time-flag, so I should be able to complete it this week and finally be able to read some #scifi again 😄
Don't get me wrong, though. “Secrets and Lies” is quite interesting and despite its age very relevant. It's just realllly long.
@kevinja Hehe, I had exactly the same issue until I spent an hour to just remove everything after a certain date. Sadly, there is no nice UI for that but listening to a good podcast or audiobook while hitting the delete-button over and over and over again definitely worked 🤣
@kevinja I use Pocket for step 2. This way I can read the article also days later (or sometimes never 😢)
#pdx, assault, eviction, 72 hours, emergency Show more
My landlord just tried to evict me, with a 72 hour notice, using his partner (my friend from the ISO) as the witness.
I refused to take the paperwork and backed away, he got loud and and lunged at me, I yelled "no stop" and tried to get back, knocked stuff off a shelf of his as I moved away fast.
I called my lawyer once I was safe.
Please boost, I need a place to stay.
Watching #independenceday2 right now … so far I’ve expected it to be far worse 😁
If you are into #startrek, do yourself a favor and listen to this #podcast by Scott Hanselman where he Interviews Dann Curry about his work on visual effects for the various shows over the course of 18 years 😍
@jessmahler take care 💫
Already done with this month's #swordandlaser assignment "An Unkindness of Ghosts" by Rivers Solomon: https://zerokspot.com/weblog/2018/03/03/an-unkindness-of-ghosts/ 😁

@bridgebury Same here. At least there is hope that the day will improve 😄
@jessmahler Hehe, me too :) that being said, I just try to keep a single spreadsheet updated as best as possible, so the once-a-year tax-report is usually only a one-hour project :)
ledger-cli is a little commandline tool that helps you do double-entry accounting journaling based on plain text files. It's not something I absolutely need right now but once I have it updated again I can easily run some stats on my expenses etc.
Sorry, probably extremely geeky 😂
@jessmahler Hi :)
I'm sitting on my couch, just did my finances (playing with ledger-cli for the first time in a year again) and am now watching the second season of Lucifer to get my head off some things.
