So I tried out the new Mastodon app for Android and it doesn't seem to allow viewing of Federated posts (or maybe it's there and I was just stupid).
Guess I'm sticking with Tusky for now.
@TexJoachim Yup, I just learned it today myself. There is no need to bother for now. Tusky is doing a great job!

Been using Tusky and having no intention to switch.
