us culture thoughts, rant
@twotone I love this and it's very important, but the writer's assumption that American culture is built on individualism is nonsensical at best and deeply harmful at worst.
Rugged Individualism has always been racist and capitalist propaganda that terrible people use to justify their success and keep everyone else isolated, depressed, and bought into racism and capitalism. Americans are at their best when we operate at the village/neighborhood level.
