I can't remember the name of s1e2 but I'm *very* impressed with how quickly the show moves to assert itself as "the horny star trek"
woof, okay, s1e2 was all fun and games but I'm 2 minutes into the third episode and we've got some real problematic tropes flying around here. the "tribal" civilization who happen to look just like African humans can't BeLiEvE that tasha yar, a woman, could be a security officer! #TNGwatch
s1e7, Lonely Among Us (my numbering was off because the pilot was a double episode): Data is already acting VERY human. Picard made one offhanded remark about Sherlock Holmes, and that's all it took for Data to go full fedora and act smugly superior to the only woman in the room #TNGwatch
S1e9, The Battle. The Enterprise crew, when faced with a thorough, accurate, and precise description of the problem they're facing:
Forgot about this one, s1e10, Hide & Q. This... is the most genuinely disquieting image the series has shown me so far.
my wife asked if blasting your atoms into cold empty space is some kind of sex thing and I mean, it wasn't, but now it is
@trappleton God I love Okona's costume design so much
@hummingrain he looks awesome, and is charming the pants off everyone, but I'm ten minutes in and very worried that he's gonna waste all that goodwill trying to scam the crew 😬
@hummingrain okay, for once the dashing rogue *did* have a heart of gold. This show is great 👌
@trappleton My understanding is somebody being petty after behind-the-scenes conflicts.
@naga ah, I shoulda guessed. Figures!
