finally started reading the starlit wood today (having already read my hero sofia samatar’s story from it in her book tender) and it’s already v good i am super excited

trying my best with short fiction because i’m way too burnt out for novels atm. it’s still a struggle but it’s something.

four more days in my office and then i am done

i can survive it

still haven’t written this but i want to do it

wooo it's been a while since I've been here. i am not really doing anything with my time except lying around and being tired - i got shingles and have been too tired/anxious to write or do much else with it. but it really feels like summer's coming in & i'm determined to make something of this year. just not yet.

honestly i'm super excited that this exists, one of those cases where being rejected will be fine bc i am desperate to read whatever it is that helen oyeyemi picks 💜

so after getting a kind of rude rejection from a market i previously really liked, i'm at a loss for where to send this story next. any markets that don't frown on fairytale retellings that i should be aware of?

oh oh! i don't know if we've had this discussion and i just forgot, but are any of the shop's patrons going to worldcon this summer?

i realised today that it's only just over three months away now. my first worldcon! and i get to visit helsinki!
