The Penwith Lunula, c2500 BC. Found in the 1780s, currently on display at Penlee House in Penzance.
Lots of lunulae were made with Cornish gold. The Nebra Sky Disc too! I have a story idea that's been waiting, set in late Neolithic / early Bronze Age Cornwall, but I must finish another story before I can start it.
I am slowly healing my relationship with Cornwall (where I grew up) and it would be nice to write something set in that landscape, which I still carry around inside me.
(none of what happened was Cornwall's fault)
Anyway. Please enjoy this extremely shiny lunula
