@cheribaker @haven4books When I was an active book blogger, I was astonished by the range of talent out there, that mostly went undiscovered. I knew about it direct from publishers, and sometimes indie authors, but it took being a book blogger to get that information.

@rosjackson yeah, that's more or less what i did and that's why i subscribed to some publishers' newsletters 'cause they catalogue stuff i might be interested in and it's often small presses or otherwise indie publishers that might not even be on amazon and stuff... i also follow a number of authors and a few librarians and booksellers and bloggers so i discover quite a few books through words of mouth basically but it does require some "legwork" shall we say... (that i'm willing to do only 'cause i've got the time) @cheribaker @haven4books
