He talks a lot of sense with regard to huge platforms. I'm not sure how those points could or should apply to smaller ones like Mastodon; although it's not as if this place is the problem.
The Wandering Shop is a Mastodon instance initially geared for the science fiction and fantasy community but open to anyone.
