As part of trying to level-up my skills as a manager, I read High Output Management, loved it, and wrote some apropos reading for OKR season:

It's official. My new author business cards are on order, without a Gmail, Facebook, or Twitter presence. Updated to include only my (non-Google) email address, author blog, and Mastodon handle. (Since it may be confusing to some, I added descriptors for handle and instance.)

My Patreon page is live now!

There's already one drawing up in early access for Patreons, and one is scheduled for tomorrow. From here on out, things I post will appear there first! ✨

I've marked the page NSFW so that I can post any images with nudity I might make in the future, but that also means my page won't show up in searches on Patreon, so I would greatly appreciate it if you boosted this toot or shared it with people. 💖

#mastoart #Patreon

If you delete patreon,
as a hashtag on twitter seems to suggest,
how will this affect the people you are currently patronizing?
If everyone who reads your hashtag does the same… how will THAT affect them?

Do they have ko-fi? Paypal subscriptions? Is Dwolla still around?

I mean, you COULD mail them cash monthly, but the USPS at least does not rec that and stamp prices are going up.

So, with all this talk about #Patreon -

I have a Patreon!
At current funding levels, $1 monthly gets you a tidy fiction magazine:

2 very short stories
2 flash fictions (<1000 words)
1 episode of my serial story, the Expectant Woods

At $3 you will also get another story, one from my trunk which has not before seen the light of day.

For $7 a month, you also get a recipe!

And at $10 a month, you’ll also get a map, hand-drawn or excel-created.

my bag just got stolen including my expensive work uniform and my watch lol so maybe it's a good time to plug the ko-fi I made the other day

1) it's cool that soldier 76 is gay
2) it's very clearly a calculated safe move by blizzard to do so
3) if you rely on major corporations to deliver queer content you'll be forever trying to make a meal out of table scraps
4) support small queer artists directly

It's Tuesday! Binge any good seasons on Netflix lately?

Working my way through Beginnings, the one season in Netflix that has the old hosts

Despite being sick this weekend, I have already read 7 books this year. Feels like a good start.

Middle-aged, US expat in W. Europe. Married to Loving Spouse. Share custody of 2 adult cats and many interests accruing from 30+ years of marriage.

Lots of my interests are listed in my profile, but it's not exhaustive. I'm comfortable in my cis-het being, but try to be sympathetic to all types; It's hard being human.

I curate followers pretty hard, but if you like what you see, you'll improve your chances if you drop me a line to start a conversation.

We've had a bunch of new people in the Shop recently! If you're new, consider making an post, and click the hashtag to see what others have said.

In 2018, I was promoted from Senior Software Engineer to Team Lead. I wrote about that transition and why I'm excited about it, and would love to hear your thoughts:
