@coachdrewglobal @phildini I enjoyed Death With Interruptions. Did not attempt to read it in Portuguese, though, since I don't know any Portuguese. I'm curious what the original version was of a particular typographical quirk in the English.
@DialMforMara @phildini i made it through Ensayo sobre la Cegueza (Blindness) en portugues, but this ones different. Its harder for mw to make sense of when each sentence is a paragraph and each paragrah is like three pages!
@phildini I have a backlog of cyberpunk-type stuff
I have ebooks of Necromancer and stuff by Cory Doctorow that I need to get around to reading
@phildini I just finished a surprisingly good Russian fairytale #fantasy novel, "The Bear and The Nightingale". Now I'm on to some urban #fantasy - "No More Black Magic (Here Witchy Witchy, #1)" that is pretty good so far.
Lots of #fiction in my queue. Been recommended "Wool" as a #scifi that will likely be devoured next. ❤
@phildini My fiction and fantasy at the moment are the same-- The Night Circus. I'm loving it thus far.
@arzimraphel oooh... now I want to go re-read The Dark Lord of Derkholm.
@phildini that one's next up on my list after i finish the chrestomanci books!
@phildini I just finished reading _Down Among the Sticks and Bones_, by Seanan McGuire. It made me want to go re-read _Every Heart A Doorway_ except I was stuck on a plane without access. So instead I started _The Strange Case of the Alchemists Daughter_, by Theodora Goss, which is a lot of fun so far.
@phildini I don’t know if it counts, but Octavia Butler’s “Parable of the Sower” and “Parable of the Talents” have been on my mind while I’ve been collecting acorns and leaching them for flour.
@rhwlo whoa. You’re making acorn flour? What are you planning on baking?
@phildini I’m about to start reading a collection of plays by #SarahRuhl. For #fantasy I started reading As Intermitências da Morte by #JoseSaramago in #portuguese, but its kicking my butt so I will be switching to the English translation (Death With Interruptions).
