My biggest loss application-wise from the Catalina upgrade is my Transmission remote GUI.

Liking to live dangerously as I do, I’ve upgraded to Catalina.
The first casualty of the upgrade is YubiSwitch, which disables the one time password mode for my yubikey nano most of the time. THAT sucks.

Huh. TIL that @zedshaw@twitter.com still has me blocked, presumably over my commentary about his Python 3 snark.

One thing I've learned past few weeks: wow, there's a lot more undying Stallman supporters out there than I thought was possible. And they're angry. So very angry.
I used to defend him too, but I was wrong to do so. I think GNU can and should do better without him.

This is by all accounts an effective move, but I'd be worried -- as a tall, bearded, loud man -- that my intervention would be taken in the same spirit. I'm still looking for techniques that can leverage my privilege to disrupt street harassment when I see it.

You're just wrong.

(ex: “Omigod, HI! I haven’t seen you in forever! It’s been since that party, right? How ARE you?” while walking the target away from the harasser.)

It's been really great seeing some fantastic metal this month; I've found two new bands just from the concerts I've been to this week.
And this time around the sound for Amorphis was top notch. God damn, they're good. So, so good.

It's sad, but completely expected, that at least the one signatory to this that I know is getting angry emails about it.
This is our field, folks; we have some work to do here.

A challenge for my internet folks; I’ve looked and looked and looked, and I can’t find any smart/IoT dimmer switches that will look nice in my 103-year-old house. Are there any IoT dimmers (single-pole and three-pole) out there that look good in older houses? (Please RT!)
