@hafnia As I see it, âpetâ is a family role distinct from âchildâ. Weâre responsible for them, but we also donât expect them to grow up into adults. âCaretakerâ doesnât necessarily reflect the love we have for them, âownerâ implies too much control. We donât have good language for describing this yet.
