From May 2002: an Eastern Fox Snake encountered during a field trip to Pelee Island.

It’s snowing this morning, but that didn’t stop a small squadron of Common Redpolls from stopping by the feeder.

From March 2002: a Mid-Baja Rosy Boa I once had. I was extremely fond of this little snake, even if she bit me square on the nose that one time.

Two American tree sparrows visited the feeder today: the first time we spotted and identified this apparently common species.

From April 2003: a Smooth Green Snake encountered during a field trip to southwestern Ontario.
