Okay! So here are some free steam keys to the game I made with my team, AER Memories of Old:

ERM2V-9BX3B-5Z0DJ
TM595-7HLW6-FL3NV
WN08V-FZ6GD-9NE03
IM9QM-VAB4D-A9IN0
J72L8-QIDZI-YP7ZT

Only pre-requisites for taking one:
I would love to have a confirmation that you took one (answer this toot), and I would like you to share your impressions with me when you have played a little (also answer here).

@krumbukt got the 5th one. Will share my impressions when I played it a bit, it looks lovely!

@krumbukt This game looks amazing! I will try the fourth, and I'll write a review for you. It may be a week or so before I have a chance to really have some quality time with it, if that's okay.

@krumbukt Correction: I took the third (the fourth had already been activated). Thanks again - this is my favorite sort of game, and I'm looking forward to it.

@krumbukt Thanks for the opportunity to play this! I wrote some thoughts on it... actually a bit more than I had intended. I'm pretty sure I'll play through it at least one more time, and I'll be looking for your next project :).

@kevinja Wow, thanks a lot for the kind words and the write up :D Glad you liked the game!

@krumbukt This looks nice, but I can't play it since there's no OpenBSD port. :blobmiou:

@starbreaker Hehe :3

The most free version we have is the Linux DRM free version on gog.com :)

Difficult to support multiple operative systems unfortunately!

@krumbukt I know, and it's cool that you provided a Linux port. Good on you for that.

@krumbukt @starbreaker Could I try it out with a gog.com key instead?

@f0x @starbreaker Sorry, but I don't have any gog keys :(

@krumbukt @starbreaker that's a shame, I'll have to use steam. I took "ERM2V-9BX3B-5Z0DJ" downloading now
@krumbukt So far it doesn't seem to work :(
There's a wave sound, but the screen is just black with a cursor

running an up-to-date Debian Sid, on a T460s
Steam console doesn't give any errors

@f0x Too bad :/ Unfortunately (as with all game dev) we can only support so many operative systems, and just adding Linux is tough.

The officially supported Linux dists are Ubuntu and SteamOS. If it doesn't work on those we might be able to help out on support, but on other platforms you are on your own unfortunately (I am not skilled enough in Linux).

Hope you can get it to work, and let me know how it goes :)

@krumbukt

I took the second one and I'll try it on Linux.

Thanks for the opportunity!

@krumbukt All taken. Will buy it next time it's on sale, thanks !

@tcit Got it! Thanks a lot :) Keep an eye out in the upcoming weeks

@tcit Well, I had no idea about this sale, not me setting them :D Yay!

THEY ARE OUT! :) THANKS EVERYONE!

@krumbukt

Dunno how I don't know about this game already. It's exactly the kind of thing I love playing. Never showed up in any of my Discovery Queues.

All five Steam Keys have already been taken, but that's cool - as I'm probably going to buy it anyway.
:)

@wiccat Wow! Thanks a bunch for the kind words :)

@krumbukt

Old-school "Explorer" type gamer here. These days if a game isn't Linux-native, or at least wine-friendly, I don't play it. Wintendos are for chumps. ;p

AER looks like an Explorer's wet-dream come true. It's pretty, and looks open-world enough that I'm going to be stress-testing those limits. ;)

Once I'm not the on-call, I'll be firing this up. Might even use it to stress-test my new T430, once I decide which distro I'm gonna run on it. :)

@wiccat Neat! Hope you enjoy it!

I am also an explorer type gamer, and the idea with AER was to build the core around just plain exploration. No map markers, loads of extra stuff to find :)

@krumbukt I can't see any other replies to this, so just to let you know they've all been used. I hope they enjoy it and get back to you!

@krumbukt It would seem all five have now been redeemed. =:/

@krumbukt sooo I played Aer a bit, and really wish I had enough time to play it more. It's absolutely gorgeous, and flying and finding new things feels incredible. The world and music are beautiful.

Can't really complain about much. I did try with keyboard at first, only to notice that it doesn't work so well with my trackpad on the laptop, but I prefer controllers anyway.

Hats off to you and your team! Also, some people at my workplace knew of the game :D
