For the first time i am frogging something where I've knit already a reasonably big amount. in 2,5 mm needles! in !
i know that i want another shape. i wouldn't like this one.
i feels daring, brave and good.

pictures! just pulled the needles out - and gradually getting smaller.

I was very emotional as it was so familiar to see it in these different sizes. it brought me back to when I was knitting it. but it's ok. and it's a good first time.

[pictures of a gradient green knitwork with small squares. i have it on my knees, green meadow in the background and it gets smaller in every picture]

and yesterday I restarted! the right edge is not going to have these steps this time, so i get a rectangular triangle shape in the end. the former version was too narrow for my taste/purpose. and while restarting I also changed it, so the garter stitch border is OUTSIDE of the squares and not part of it (eg the squares have always the same size).
:D
[1. a tiny green knitted triangle. 2. it has grown and there's now triangle, two squares, another triangle, forming a fabric]

@knittingsquirrel That looks good, I'm always reluctant to frog and start over but I never regretted it after the fact... I once made a Entrelac shawl too and it had an i-cord that went all around it that was added after the fact. That took forever, If I had known before I probably wouldn't have started to knit this :D

@Virelai i was also thinking about making a border afterwards, but then i realised that it would mean to pic up a giant amount of stitches and so on, and backed out of the thought very quickly. ๐Ÿ˜‚
but: I really love Entrelac!!

@knittingsquirrel haha yeah, I can't recommend! It looks great of course... but noo. Too much!
I loved knitting entrelac too, haven't really done any since then, although it was just the border that was so tiring...
