Oh no, I just ordered fibre!
I can't really afford it because my washing machine is in the process of dying. But I've really wanted to knit 2 shawls that call for yarn I don't have and I didn't find yarn that works so I just have to spin it myself!

@jules @Julia ich übernehme wieder mal die rolle, für den anfang zu ungefärbten fasern zu raten, weil manchmal einfach beim färben fasern filzen oder zusammenpappen und man es sich schwerer macht, als nötig.
(ich hab allerdings mit angefilzter, selbstgefärbter eiderwolle angefangen, die noch dazu uralt war, und die ich von 1 bekannten geschenkt bekommen hatte, es hätte geileres gegeben, haha)

@Julia Ne, das ist normalerweise nicht so. Du kannst auch einfach 1 Kammzug bestellen.
Ich seh grad, das so bei der Option, die Wunschfarbe auch bestimmte Wunschfasern färben zu lassen. Da hast du genau das erwischt.
I also want to knit the Secretkeeper shawl https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/secretkeeper soon. I got the pattern from someone nice and it has been sitting there (but where? I have to check!) and waiting for me to finally get enough of the same yarn to knit it. I am going to spin a dark blue mixture of corriedale and merino (look: https://hilltopcloudshop.co.uk/collections/nordic/products/storm-nordic-collection-blended-corriedale-merino-top-100g) for this one.

I'm into one colored things lately. I love to wear them.
But I love it even more to spin and knit colorful things. So this will be a challenge. But as it is now, it will take me at least until fall to get to it. Maybe we are doing another #herbstflauschkal then? (It translates to fall fluff knitalong, it's something a few of my German #knitting friends and I did the last 2 years to get ready for the cozy time of the year).

@gannet @jules Coming back to this, one of my most treasured (if, alas, somewhat itchy) winter scarves is a alpaca wool/sheeps wool mix (it was there in a orange heather, single strands against the brown alpaca) - I spun, did 3-ply, and then wove that baby on a backstrap loom.
The best part was getting to pull it regularly out of my coat, to say, "Uhm, no, you *can* weave with self-spun!"
