I fly under a different banner on Ravelry, and am not quite sure I want to out myself by connecting this account with that. Any suggestions? I'm still noodling around with the idea of joining in the #tourDeFleece but it sounds like a lot of fun.

Hmmm, you could join the team and post pictures only on ravelry, don't mention your mastodon account and then it should be harder to make the connection for random people. Or you could make another mastodon account for this purpose and only connect hat one to your ravelry handle?

Either of those would work - if I do the latter, I'll announce myself on #Ravelry. I like the idea of being able to chat with the #mastospinners there as well as here.
Then I can get into silly internal dialogues of which account is the sock-puppet. (A masts-sock-puppet? oooh, there's a project idea, and I have some grey acrylic leftover from when I crocheted a Totoro hand-puppet from my loving husband...)
