@jessmahler thank you. This book sounded very painful. I’m also grateful to have been raised by an aspie mom. It made a huge difference to my being ok with myself.

@jessmahler my mom’s mom was very cruel to her. Called her her “dark” child because of her sallow coloring, generally treated her like a mistake. But mine took that and tried to be the kind, loving mother she didn’t have. I remember even when I was having teen autistic meltdowns and she’d get frustrated she always apologized after. But sometimes they were funny and very autistic apologies.
