@cyborgneticz @jessmahler Where do they deport people to, if they can't figure out where they're from?

@tomas @Cyborgneticz As far as I can tell, they make their best guess.

If someone overstayed a visa, they can look up the visa. If someone has family who immigrated legally or came on a visa, they can check the records for family. But there's got to be times where they can't verify where a person or their family came from. At that point, for all I know they are looking at a magic 8 ball to decide.

@jessmahler @tomas My friend's friend was deported and they basically guessed from what my friend has said.

@jessmahler @tomas I haven't asked a lot of question because I don't think it's super appropriate right now

@cyborgneticz It strikes me that this can result in situations where people effectively become stateless
