Just started Ancillary Mercy and am enjoying it immensely. Tea and AI games both on point.

@janellecshane the whole tea thing, the tea itself and the ceremonies and the ornamental tea sets... it's such a fantastic constellation of little details that give a wonderful depth to the worldbuilding. I also love how the default gender is female, so I still don't know what "actual gender" most of the main characters are, and I love how much it doesn't matter!

@green YES I love that aspect too. And also how the culture is not monolithic yet everyone's so shaped by the norms of politeness that when someone does depart from them, it's jarring even to the reader.
